Different Types of Dog Barking Collar

There are two main types of Dog Barking Collars out there:

Static collars: these emit a low level electric shock to your dog, you can adjust the shock level, and starting out using the lowest level is the best idea until your dog gets used to it.  You may find that your dog will respond to the lower level shock, if your dog does not, then you can increase the shock level, until you start seeing your dog respond.  The dog barking collar usually emits a sound as well, this sound, sounds worse than it actually is.  It’s no worse than us getting a static shock, it is enough to give your dog a shock, and for him or her to correct her actions.

Citronella collars: These are dog barking collar that is used by people who do not wish to use static collars.  Dogs are not big fans of the smell of citronella.  When they are barking, it sets off a spray and the dogs quickly associate the smell with barking and correct their behaviours.
